This past Saturday was the Barnes & Noble author event for The River’s Daughter at B&N Ellicott City, and I had the honor of signing copies of The River’s Daughter. It was one of those rare days where the real-life version was somehow even cooler than what I expected. It’s been almost a week and it still feels surreal.

To everyone who came out, brought friends, waited in line, or just came to show support, THANK YOU! Your support and enthusiasm and fun energy made the day amazing and has made this journey so much sweeter.

A few of my favorite moments from the book signing:

• Getting to talk to readers who’ve already finished the book (!)
• Signing copies for family and friends who have been rooting for me since before the book was written
• My kids and my friends’ kids reliving my own childhood by browsing aisles in Barnes & Noble
• My 11th grade AP Language teacher surprising me!!!!!!!!
